The 2019 event will begin Friday with two navigational road trials directing competitors towards Gippsland for the first overnight stop. Competitive events will continue into Saturday with two further navigational road trials, before a second overnight stop within striking distance of the Gippsland Car Club's Bryant Park Hillclimb track. The 3 Day Trial will culminate Sunday with entrants chasing points at a hill climb and tarmac motorkhana, before heading back to Melbourne in the late afternoon.

The scores for all competitive segments of the event will be combined to determine the overall winners. Following the competitive events a presentation dinner will be held Sunday evening, close to Melbourne, where a variety of prizes will be awarded for performance throughout the event.

All road registered vehicles manufactured before 1989 are invited to participate; more modern sports & supercars may also participate subject to approval. Entries will be limited to strictly 25 vehicles to ensure a relaxed atmosphere and ample track time is available for all competitors.

They will be required to meet basic safety standards, carry a fire extinguisher, and drivers must wear a helmet and suitable clothing when competing in motorsport sections of the event.
